U Microfinance Bank Limited

U Microfinance Bank Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) - Etisalat company. PTCL is the largest telecommunication service provider in Pakistan. U Bank was formerly known as Rozgar Microfinance Bank started with a district level bank based in Karachi licensed in 2003. The bank was acquired by PTCL in Aug 2012 with the aim to provide nationwide Microfinance as well as Branchless Banking Services to the masses. The bank acquired approval for nationwide operations in Jan 2013 and was renamed as U Microfinance Bank Ltd.
U Bank currently has a network of 72 touch points and offers wide range of services that includes micro and MSME loan products as well as current, savings and Term Deposit accounts catering to a wide range of customers.
U Bank’s branchless banking offers mobile financial services under the banner of U Paisa in collaboration with Ufone – Pak Telecom Mobile Limited.
