Trag is a village and Union Council of Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It in the Isakhel tehsil. Trag is one of the biggest villages of Tehsil Isa Khel (Tarna, an old name), District Mianwali.BackgroundTrag is named after an ancestor or elder, literally meaning an “Iron Helmet”, He was the Great Grandson of Isa Khan Niazi's Paternal uncle Shaado Khan Niazi. He was a combatant in Haibat Khan Niazi's army. Trag came into being in between 1660-1685. It is populated by one of the significant clan Shaado Khel hailing from Niazi Pathan. These people are basically Afghan in origin and adventured Hindustan along with their main tribe i.e. Niazi.
