The University of Lahore is usually referred to by its acronym UOL, is a highly distinguished academic University, established in 1999 as one of the private sector general University in Pakistan.

Mission

The University of Lahore is a private sector university, established by Ibadat Education Trust and operates under the charter granted by the Government of the Punjab in 2002. The mission of the university is to impart education and training to the youth of the country in an academic environment through comprehensive and up to date teaching and research facilities.

The primary mission of the university is to inculcate such critical abilities, wisdom and values which are necessary for the making of a forward looking, coherent civil society. It also seeks to prepare a mindset imbued with Islamic ethos and positive social norms without prejudice to the authenticity of any other religion. The Trust has mandated this university to offer equal opportunity to students from all strata of society without any distinction of cast, color and creed.

The efforts of the university to promote demand led subjects for the purpose of preparing a productive manpower which could participate in the economic development of the country. In the same vain the university emphasizes on the delivery of curricula leavened with a tilt towards entrepreneurship. In essence, the mission of the university is to develop a positive social capital with common consciousness and common ego responsive to the looming global challenges in the rapidly changing political, economic and social paradigm.

The University of Lahore (UOL) has played a major role in enhancing learning and research activities among students by provide them a great platform of learning. The University is accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) and the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. The University has also achieved the highest ranking "W4" by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

Our approach to excellence has allowed the University to ranked among the top 600 Universities of the World and in top 250 Universities of Asia (QS Ranking).We continue to be at the forefront of research, and continue to strive to produce excellent graduates in areas of Arts, Engineering, Health Science, Information Technology, Language & Literature, Management & Sciences.
