It is one of the main towns of Mianwali, it has a population of about 20,000 and is located between Isakhel and Kalabagh. Kamar Mushani is surrounded by many small towns that include Makarwal, Sultan Khel, Trag, Isa Khel, Nasiriwala, Chapri, Kot Chandna and Kalabagh. It lies between the Bhangi Khel Salt Range in the west and the River Indus in the east. Kamar Mushani is famous for its trade and minerals. Pakistan no. 1 Silica (Silicon) is extracted in Kamar Mushani and is supplied all over the country.

The name of village is corruption of Khemat Mish Asthana, by the ravages of time, it changed to Kamar Mushani. The village was once a seat of Khemat tribes, who had been driven to the sandy desert of northern side.Khemat tribe was animals breeders, therefore, mishani is possessive case of mish means "Bufflo" and they were famous for boats. They sailed off goods of northern Indian to lower parts of the indus such as Rokkri, Dera Ismail Khan and further down to Multan and Shinthu (Sind). But there is difference in this theory because according to most of kamri(who live in kammar mushani) that kammar is the word of sraiki langueg that means The Bank Of River and the founder of kammar Mushani was the Mushan Khan a pashtoon tribe chief therefore the recent name of kammar mushani came in creation because of this the meaning of kammar mushani is a bank of river property of Mushan.
History:
THE NAME OF VILLAGE IS CORRUPTION OF KHAMBRA MISH ASTHANA, BY THE RAVAGES OF TIME, IT CHANGED TO KAMAR MUSHANI. THE VILLAGE WAS ONCE A SEAT OF KHAMBRA TRIBES, WHO HAD BEEN DRIVEN TO THE SANDY DESERT OF NORTHERN SIDE. KHAMBRA TRIBE WAS ANIMALS BREEDERS, THEREFORE, MISHANI IS POSSESSIVE CASE OF MISH MEANS “BUFFALO” AND THEY WERE FAMOUS FOR BOATS. THEY SAILED OFF GOODS OF NORTHERN IANDIA TO LOWER PARTS OF THE INDUS SUCH AS ROKKRI, DERA ISMAIL KHAN AND FURTHER DOWN TO MULTAN AND SHINTHU (SIND).

BUT THERE IS DIFFERENCE IN THIS THEORY BECAUSE ACCORDING TO MOST OF KAMRI (WHO LIVE IN KAMMAR MUSHANI) THAT KAMMAR IS THE WORD OF SRAIKI LANGUAGE THAT MEANS THE BANK OF RIVER AND THE FOUNDER OF KAMMAR MUSHANI WAS THE MUSHAN KHAN A PASHTUN TRIBE CHIEF THEREFORE THE RECENT NAME OF KAMMAR MUSHANI CAME IN CREATION BECAUSE OF THIS THE MEANING OF KAMMAR MUSHANI IS A BANK OF RIVER PROPERTY OF MUSHAN.REVENUE COLLECTOR OMMAR HAYAT KHAN TIWANA REGISTERED NAME OF PLACE AS [KHAMBRA ASTHAN OR MISHAN]. AT THAT TIME THERE WAS NO SIGN OF “MUSHAN KHAN” APPEARED AROUND. ALEXANDER THE GREAT CAPTURED THIS AREA ITS NAME WAS “CHICHALI” WHICH DISAPPEARED DUE TO FAILURE OF CHICHA TRIBE; AND KHAMBRA CAPTURED AREA. PATHAN ENTERED THIS AREA AFTER ABJECT DEFEAT OF SIKHS. KAMMAR MUSHANI IS NOT TRIBAL AREA BECAUSE NO TRIBE IS RULED BY THE SIRDAR AND RELATIVE TRIBAL CUSTOMS AND THERE IS NO COMMON TRIBAL PROPERTY. THEREFORE ALL TRIBE WHATEVER THESE ARE; HAVE TURNED TO CLANS......Zia 03138736565
