Who we are
The foundation of what is today a prestigious institution and the source of a sense of pride for thousands of students was laid by Mrs. Yawar Azhar in 1984. She was an education lover for herself as well as her students. Her educational qualification included M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Punjab University in 1971. Her teaching experience commenced at Federal Government College F-7/2, Islamabad where she taught chemistry to Intermediate and Degree Level classes from 1971 to 1978. She further taught in A.U.D. Comprehensive High School, Nigeria, from 1978 to 1981 and continued teaching in Nigeria at Haliru Abdu Teachers' College, Bernin Kebbe, Sokoto State from 1981 to 1983. She then gave a fine finish to her curriculum and experience by going to Cambridge in 1993 and attaining a Certificate in Teacher Training (C.T.T).
She was like a torch of knowledge going through the darkness of the renaissance. Enlightening her pupils was not only a social obligation she took upon herself, it was her dedication to do something for her country and to give something to the people she belonged to. She decided to dedicate her life to contribute to the up-bringing of the children that will be our future. And it can be said without the slightest trace of a doubt that she did so without hesitation. On the 7th of June 2005 she departed for the heavens when she came to the school and suffered from brain hemorrhage. Now, she is gone, but her hopes live on within the school, the children and the duty she gave her life fulfilling.
