Sarhadd

Sarhadd or Sarhad, also known as Sarhad-e Broghil or Sarhad-e Wakhan, is a village in the Wakhan in Badakhshan Province in north-eastern Afghanistan.Sarhadd lies at an altitude of 3,400 m on the Wakhan River, at a point where the river broadens into a wide plain. It is inhabited by Wakhi people. The village lies at the end of a rough road from Ishkashim, and just to the north of the Broghil Pass.The population of the village (2003) is 548.
