More about Olomopolo Media

OLOMOPOLO Media has established itself as a CULTURAL AND SOCIAL PRODUCTION HUB, pivoted around the organization, design and execution of PERFORMING ARTS AND VISUAL MEDIA.

OLOMOPOLO’s objective is to enhance the value of VISUAL, PERFORMING AND MEDIA ART as a tool for social sensitization and social advocacy for public awareness of their ethical development and socio-cultural sophistication.

The organization holds weekly events at their activity center, the OLO Junction, including theatrical & interactive performances like dramatic readings, film screenings, dance and musical performances, social talk sessions, stand-up comedy acts, open mic nights, readings circles etc.

We at OLOMOPOLO Media aim to produce and execute quality entertainment, engaging the youth and emerging talent in Pakistan, using a vast spectrum of creative mediums. Our aim is thus, to become a leading platform for creative expression through our productions, and hope to evolve into a self-sustaining entertainment and edifying hub.

OLOMOPOLO Media was founded by Kanwal Khoosat, who grew up going to theatre regularly and reminisces about the glory days of theatre, in 2013. She is partnered up with Fyque Nadeem, Iram Sana and Vicky Zhuang Yi-Yin. This organization runs under the patronage of veteran actor Sania Saeed as the president. She also volunteers as the Director Planning and Development.

Our mission is the key revival of culture and art, through a reformatory process in socio-cultural terms. Our projects look to not only spread awareness, but to impart informal education and involve indigenous knowledge as a means of addressing socio-cultural issues. Our mission is to engage not only local emerging talent and creative professionals, but to also showcase global artistic talent in the hope of promoting the necessity of art in shaping socio-cultural reforms.
