Unit I puts a lot of focus on latest advancements and research in the field of Neurosurgery. Teaching rounds are conducted almost every day with a great emphasis on professional grooming of emerging neurosurgeons.

Neurosurgery Unit I provides one of the best trauma patient care to head injury patients. From mild concussion injuries to highly complex deep brain contusions are treated in the light of modern neurosurgical principles with modular operation theaters dedicated for trauma neurosurgery.

Unit I has achieved excellence in elective Neurosurgery with numerous different procedures being performed every week. With a thirst for knowledge and skill, the unit is working hard to further broaden its horizons in the field of neurosurgery.

The Unit I is the center for excellence in Skull Base surgery, Translab Surgery for CP Angle tumors and Deep Brain Stimulation for a variety of CNS disorders.
