MIRAS - میراثِ تَعلیم

Miras Taleem is an educational non governmental, non profit organisation managed by the group of students of different institutes who strives to bring a positive social change in society through education.

Miras, an Urdu word which can be translated as inheritance or property. This concept is basically based on the famous saying of Hazrat Ali (a.s). "Education/Knowledge is a lost property/inheritance of a believer, let him claim wherever he finds it." As we're living in 21st century where unfortunately even basic education has become a commodity. A commodity which only a previliged one can afford to have. Unfortunately being part of a previliged society we never try to think about the another side of a coin. Thousands of children never be able to get basic education in Pakistan. So what can we do?
Miras is basically an initiative to aware not only people of slum but also the whole society to realise that Education is a right. Instead of debating on it again and again, it's time for an action, it's time to give the children of slums their right, their lost property, their Miras. It's time to play our role for the betterment of society instead of waiting for Messiah. You all are more than welcome to join us in this initiative morally, financially and physically. Help us in educating the children of slums and let's send them to school. Trust me if due to your support even one child goes to school today, it'll improve life of hundreds in future. Your few hours can change and improve lives of many. It'll be all because of you.
