Institute of Biochemistry & Biotechnology, University of the Punjab, Lahore

The Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology started its academic programs at the University of the Punjab in the Session 1997-98. The academic programs of the Institute are designed to meet the needs of well-trained manpower in order to serve the sectors of health, agriculture, industry and education in the country.
The course contents and effective teaching methodologies allow high quality training in these rapidly advancing fields. Research in areas of national importance is a major component of the Institute activities. The Institute collaborates with other institutions within the country and abroad to promote learning in order to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The Institute has recently moved into its new purpose-built building which shall allow further expansion in its teaching and research programs. The facilities available provide excellent opportunities for attaining high standards of teaching and research.
