Debate competition: (Non-group task)

TOPIC =(How do you see Pakistan after next

50 years, Same as today or One of the Leading

Countries of The world)

ONE SIDE

• Pakistan should be left and that there is nothing left here and no good can be done over here/

majority of the people of Pakistan are either bad or doesn’t have the will to change. I see no

hope that Pakistan would be the among the leading nations of the world.

You can support your point by thinking about various points for example::

1. Law and order and other situations still same or got worsen since its creation.

2. The attitude and mindset of people and Government..etc etc

OTHER SIDE

• We should stay in Pakistan or come back after studying from abroad(if its necessary to go)

And work over here to improve the standards of Pakistan. There is still hope left and Pakistan

can become one of the greatest nations in the next 50years.

You can support your point by thinking about various points for example::

1. Give examples of some good people of Pak and the possible change they are bringing.

2. Support why you hope that Pakistan would be a frontline nation in the next 50years.

3. People are becoming more aware.

Criteria:

1. The debate will first start by the debaters of each side. Debate will be done in both Urdu and

English language that’s up to your choice.. (although you will be competing with the same

language guy or girl)

2. You have to go an initial pre-screening before the final event. Preevent-screening will be done

by board of teachers.

3. Final event decision board will comprises of judges (Chairman, teachers and some of the best

debaters of the university).

4. The numbers of debaters are not fixed yet. It depends on the quality of debaters. However due

to time constraints in the final event we may knock out the weakest ones.

5. After the speakers the audiences will have full chance to debate among themselves BUT in an

orderly fashion.

6. The decision of the judging board both in pre-selection and main event would be final.

Video or Documentary making competition.

(Group Task):

Topic: “Pakistan as you See it…!”

In this session you have to make a documentary cum video where you can only write text, pictures and a

supporting “Relevant !“ background sound, music or song or mixture of all.

Note:

1. Again the video can show the negative OR positive OR both sides of the country, however it is

much better if your video is thought provoking and lesson oriented.

2. Video should not at all exceed the length of 4min.

3. All videos will be pre-screened and only the best one will be selected.

4. Video should solely be your creation and plagiarism, or “AS IT IS COPY OF IDEA “ will not be

tolerated at all and will result in immediate disqualification if caught., however you can take

an “Inspiration “ from anywhere.

5. It’s a group task hence a minimum of one (1) and maximum of five (5) members can produce

one video but each one should have some hand in its creation like (Idea giving, songs selection,

editing, picture selection, text selection etc).

6. You will be marked on the intelligence, music relevance, and message contained in the

documentary.

Quiz competition: (Class wise):

TOPIC : PaKiStAn StUdIeS

It’s a class wise competition which means that a single or double pair of students will be selected to

represent their respective classes in the main event for a quiz competition.

The selected members will be provided with bunch of questions which are important for the quiz.

Quiz will commence in different sections which will be revealed later to the selected students.

Dress Coat and Time for Event: Will be decided later.

In the end best of luck to all… I wish that we all together make this event

memorable for all of us. We will think for a decent decorated

Environment too if possible.
