Govt. Postgraduate College for Women Satellite Town

Established in 1950, Govt. Post Graduate College for Women, 6th Road Satellite Town Rawalpindi is recognized as an institution of high repute. The foundation of this college was laid in a building on Murree Road, which is now a days the office of the Director Education Department. This college was set up by the Govt. to provide higher education to Rawalpindi and its suburbs. In October1976, this college was shifted to the present building. The main objective of this institution is the character formation of the students in the light of Islamic teachings and grooming them as dignified, disciplined, progressive and patriotic women of Pakistan. Every Student is guided and encouraged in the pursuit of knowledge.
