KASHMIR MODEL TOWN CHAKRI ROAD, RAWALPINDI

Kashmir Model Town Chakri Road, Rawalpindi is the 1st Scheme of Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society which consist on 3 phases (I,II, III) having 3627 Kanals land in the scheme. All the plots were allotted to the members in 1990 and thereafter. The Development work of the scheme was also completed by 1995 but none of the allottee
constructed the house in the scheme and the development made 15 years earlier has damaged by the passage of time and no usage of scheme which needs to be repaired in all respect. The new management of the society in its 1st meeting considered the scheme in detail and decided to make arrangements of repair of roads, and restore the water supply,
electricity, sewerage and drainage system immediately on availability of funds to persuad the allottees to construct the houses in the scheme.

G-15/F-15

Construction work in the G-15/F-15 is on full swing and more than 100 houses of various categories have been constructed. Water supply is being provided from the tube wells constructed in the schemes and supply of electricity on permanent basis is under process. However, 7 paramount transformers of 100KV and 3 over-head have been installed and energized and Society is providing interim connections to the the residents. Double roads in G-15/F-15 have been carpeted in the month of June, 2008. Installation of sewerage treatment plant is under process and will be possible on the availability of funds with th Society. IESCO Islamabad has also awarded the contract of electric underground cable network and contractors started the work on 02-08-2008 in G-15/F-15. Remaining development work of sector G-15/F-15 and F-15/F-16 extension will be started as and when the funds will b e available by the disposal ofZone-IV land and recovery of dues.

ZONE V

Layout plan of Zone V Phase I was approved by the CDA, vide letter No CDA/PLW-HS (RP) 2(767)/04/131 dated Dec 10, 2008. At the time of taking over by the new management there were about 10 formalities pending for submission to the CDA for the issuance of NOC. However, the management succeeded to meet all the requirements like provision of
engineering/structural designs, payment of difference of scrutiny fee, undertaking on stamp papers, signing of modalities etc. Drafts for mortgage of land, transfer deed and publication of public notice completed and submitted to the CDA for issuance of NOC.

FLATS G-15

One executive block of Category A having 32 units has been completed and the balloting will be held on 16th November 2008. Another executive block of 32 units and 2 blocks of category B and C each are under construction and expected to be completed within next few months. ZONE IV

Society had purchased about 4000 kanals land in Zone IV, Islamabad for its Agro Farming Scheme but the Scheme could not proved successful due to non interest of its members. The matter was taken up by the Senate Standing Committee on Law justice and parliamentary affair and directed the society to dispose off the surplus land and funds be used for the development of other schemes. The matter was placed before the AGM held on 17-08-2008 and AGM given its approval. Public notices have been publices in National dailies for calling the bids from interested persons/parties.
