The concept of Dabba stemmed from the realization that the tradition of hand painted truck art in Pakistani is declining. As Pakistan is world famous for its truck art, we intend to preserve this craft, which has passed from one generation to the next, for decades.

Innovation is the core of our philosophy, as traditional products produced by the craft communities have a limited scope. We are committed to improving the product line by focusing on and building the skills and knowledge of the craftsperson. By introducing a contemporary design and product line, we encourage the younger generation to continue the craft tradition of the previous generations.

We at Dabba aim to preserve something that is truly Pakistani, and which at the same time provides communities with a sustainable source of income.
