OverviewChak No. 147/148 NB is a village of Sillanwali Tehsil District Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. It is situated 42 km away from Sargodha City and 9 km from its Tehsil Sillanwali at Lakhowana Road. It is the Union Council No. 121 of the neighbouring villages. It is surrounded by a canal, Rajbah Naurang. The primary source of income in this village is agriculture although most of the people do different Government and Private Jobs.HistoryThis village is also called Lakhowana. It was created in the late 19th Century. There is no perfect history behind the formation of the village however Ancestors say that the place where a beautiful village is settled today, there were no signs of population. The area consisted of different types of bushes, trees and herbs etc. It looks more like Pasture so people used to come in this region along with animals to graze because there were not enough crops for animals at that time as compared to today. And the place where the village is situated, was a plain ground so at night they encamped there. But they had to face a big trouble that there was no source of fresh water but later on they found a low-lying area on the south west of today's village with the capability of collecting rainwater. So they started to encamp there. Afterwards, they created temporary buildings to protect their animals and themselves from the storms and rains and then some of them were permanently settled there and in this way a village came to existence.
