The scouting in Balochistan has its roots since 1920 before independence. The permanent Scout Unit of Islamia High School presented the Guard of honour to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his arrival at Quetta in 1943. The Governor General of Balochistan Sir Obroy Metcof inaugurated the Boy Scout Headquarter Balochistan in November 1943.
The Balochistan Boy Scouts Association (BBSA) is a volunteer organization. BBSA works for national building activities, character building of youth and welfare of human being. BBSA is an autonomous body. It has no connection, in any way, with the armed forces of the country or with any other government department. BBSA is on of the branch association of Pakistan Boys Scouts Association (PBSA).
BBSA is serving in Balochistan province as an active organization. BBSA provides training to scouts and works on different projects for creating a positive change in the society.
