Area Introduction

Lal Suhanra National Park was established as National Park during 1972. Total area of this National Park is 1,62,568 acres which is considered one of the largest National Parks in the South Asia. It is located in the Bahawalpur District of the Southern Punjab, Pakistan. The prime purpose of the establishment of this National Park was to conserve the most endangered wild species of Black Buck (Deers). Now this is the only place in Asia where Black Buck breeds at large scale.

Tourist Attractions

This National Park presents multi-dimensional attractions to the visitors located in the close vicinity of the main Lal Suhanra like Children Parks, Boating Lake, Mini Zoo comprising Birds, Ducks, Monkeys, Peacocks, large enclosures of Rhinoceros and Chinkara (Deers). The Lion Safari, Black Buck breeding enclosure, The Watch Tower and a beautiful, attractive and elegant rest house named “Whispering Hill” along with a beautiful Lake are also key attractions for the visitors located within 10 km from the main Lal Suhanra National Park. One can also experience the sheer adventure of Desert Safari in the area.

Accommodation

There is well maintained TDCP Lal Suhanra Motel located just a stone throw from the key attractions in the main Lal Suhanra National Park. This only Motel offers 10 elegant air conditioned rooms in different sizes with a restaurant, meeting hall, conference hall, bar-b-cue area and an elegant swimming pool to cater all kind of visitors. There is a 3D multimedia home- cinema facility available for group of visitors to enjoy their favorite movies, and for the companies, for their conferences and presentations. The Motel also offers Horse Riding experience and Camel Riding (coming soon) to its visitors. A complete visitor guide of the resorts is also available for in house visitors at the motel. A prior booking to use the facility is strongly suggested to avoid the disappointment.

Location Guide

The Resort is ideally positioned in the middle of country, in the east of former princely state of the Bahawalpur, 35 km from the main Bahawalpur city. 875 km from Karachi, 460 km from Lahore and 135 km from Multan. The Lal Suhanra main stop is well connected with carpet roads off from Bahawalpur. A branch railway track off from Sama Satta Junction which is currently abandoned soon will be functional following major repairs. The Bahawalpur airport is approx. 28 km from the resort. The TDCP Lal Suhanra is ideally located to tranquilize the transit visitor and travelers waiting to travel from Rashid Minhas Terminal, Bahawalpur.
