Swat snow festival 2016

Malam Jabba is one of the few ski resorts in the country and an excellent tourist spot which offers a lot of sights to behold. Mighty mountains, dancing fountains, thick forests and heavenly beautiful valleys offer much more to visitors than just a ski resort. This fascinating land of greenery and manifestation of God’s beauty is located 314 kilometers from Islamabad at a driving time of about 5 hours. The resort has a base height of 2896 meters and is reachable by a good road. The skiing area has an ascent of 200 meters upto 3096 meters which is served by a chair lift system. This event in winters is becoming a regular feature with an aim to bring people to Swat to explore splendid scenery of Swat. Last year, Swat Snow Festival – 2013 was organized from 3 – 10 Mar 2013 in collaboration with Norwegian embassy and an International non-government organisation “Right to Play”. Event was a great success and received appreciation at national level. The response from all stake holders was so encouraging that festival went way ahead of its set objectives. It received an unprecedented media coverage that carried a message of peace and prosperity across the nation and the world. Encouraged by last year’s positive response, this year ‘The Festival’ offers much more.
