Nishat Chunian Group

History

1990 - Nishat Chunian Limited (NCL) was incorporated as a public listed company.
1991 - The first spinning unit started commercial production activities.
1998 - NCL diversified into Weaving business.
2005 - NCL acquired operating assets of Umer Fabrics Limited.
2006 - NCL diversified into Home Textiles business.
2007 - Nishat Chunian Power Limited (NCPL) was incorporated as a public limited company.
2010 - NCPL started commercial operations.

Nishat Chunian Limited

Currently, NCL is a diversified mix of manufacturing and finishing operations and has five spinning units, one weaving unit, one dyeing and printing unit, and one stitching unit to its credit. The main business segments are: weaving, spinning and home textile.

Moreover, NCL now operates with 150,000 spindles and 293 air jet looms with a monthly production capacity of 7.5 million lbs of yarn and 4.0 million yards of greige fabric. The dyeing & finishing unit has a capacity of 3.5 million yards per month that is supported by an equivalent stitching capacity.

Nishat Chunian Power Limited

NCPL was incorporated as public limited company is 2007. The company has a power generation capacity of 200 megawatts. NCPL has been incorporated under the 2002 Power Policy of the Government of Punjab and has been issues a generation license from the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA). Since 21st July 2010, NCPL is also involved in commercial operations.
