1. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
(1.a) Introduction:
GSF is non profit and non government organization established in 2007 by a group of social activities concerned about depleting sources of livelihood and employment increasing poverty and social deprivation in rural area. They adopt ways and means of the development of Health, Educational and Rural Development facilities to helpless people (women and children).
GSF initiated the process of social mobilization in District Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Umerkot, Matyari, Tando Muhammad Khan. At that time there was no effective gross roots development & real improvement in living standard of the poor, beside there was visible lack of integrated development.
GSF started its activities with an objective to facilities peoples, participants in development on self help basis & to build institution infrastructure in their villages to achieve the goal of sustainable development. Since it believe in institutional buildings at the gross route level to support in bringing social change in the society.
GSF has become a common platform created and owned by the poor, it has made social mobilization its core activity & entry point followed by development intervention such social and physical service delivery projects coordinating and networking while emphasis on good governance. The aim of the Organization is to main stream rural poor into socioeconomic development and reduces their vulnerability.
(1.b) Legal Status:
I. Registered under Society Registration ACT XXI of 1860.
II. Social Welfare Department 2007, Society Act 6314 of 2010 – 2011
