Georgeabad

Vehari is a city about 100km from the historical city of Multan and is the headquarters of Vehari District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is situated at the Multan Delhi Road constructed by Indian Muslim Emperor Sher Shah Suri. It is located at an altitude of 135m. It is 96km from the regional metropolis of Multan, 956km from Karachi, 300km from Lahore, 218km from Faisalabad, 119km from Bahawalpur, 61km from Hasilpur, 41km from Mailsi, 46km from Kacha Khuh, 36km from Burewala, 27km from Luddan, 78km from Arifwala, 112km from Pakpattan, and about 37km north of the river Sutlej – the southernmost of the five rivers of the Punjab region. Islam Headworks is located on this river near Luddan on the Luddan-Vehari canal providing irrigation water to both banks of the river, which includes the upper fringes of the Cholistan Desert.
