Our field of specialty
Family medicine is one of the primary medical care specialty concerned with the holistic health care of an individual and the family. Family physicians provide continuing and comprehensive health care from a bio psychosocial perspective, focusing not only on illness but providing patient-centered care and promoting health. The scope of our services is not limited by age, gender, disease, organ or system. Our Family physicians are trained to provide care to majority (greater than 90%) of health problems encountered in ambulatory care setting/community, to recognize their limitations and make appropriate referrals when indicated.


Our Services:
We provide in campus services to people of all age groups. This includes acute and chronic management of common diseases, providing comprehensive health care, focusing on prevention and disease screening and making referral whenever indicated.

The department of Family Medicine specifically provides following services at off campus outreach community clinics:
• Child Health Care services include vaccination, child and maternal health screening clinics, nutrition and growth monitoring.
• Diabetes Care Clinics for management of diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, obesity, foot care, diet and lifestyle counseling.
• Geriatric Clinics for comprehensive health care of elderly.
• Counseling and cognitive behavior therapy for depression and anxiety management.
• Nutrition counseling for diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia.
• Executive health checkups providing medical care to individual and corporate sector employees through various cost-effective executive health packages.
• Screening clinics include various cost effective packages appropriate for people of all age groups.
• Pre-employment checkups, health insurance examination, and screening of employees.
• Women's Health Clinic for cancer screening.
• Advice on Adult Immunizations both routine and travel related.
• Preventive care include clinics on weight management and smoking cessation
• School based health care services, with a vision for health promotion, disease prevention and early screening of childhood disease.
• Home based health care for geriatric population or other people who are unable to visit hospital due to disability.
