DADO is a sustainable development Organization working in NWFP, it is a nonprofit able, non-governmental Organization established in June 1998 having 150 registered members in its network and registered under the Societies’ registration Act XXI 1860 having Registration No. 909 / 5/2890, with the aim to upgrade the Socioeconomic status of deprived communities and to improve the standard of life, Health & Education conditions of the inhabitant of the rural areas in the NWFP- Pakistan.
DADO works for the development of marginalized communities of the targeted area. Since its inception, DADO has been working to address community needs through different developmental projects. It has completed a number of projects on Health, communicable diseases HIV and AIDS, Hepatitis, Optimal Birth Spacing Initiative, The Exclusive Breast feeding, Drug Demand Reduction, health hygiene, Clean drinking water supply schemes and Primary health care. It has also arranged Free Medical camps to provide health services to poor people at their doorstep. Community infrastructure (road construction, installation of water taps), Promotion of girls’ primary education through community participation & Women political education for participation in the electoral process.DADO has a close Coordination and linkages with people who extend their voluntary support to DADO in their respective fields. A general body of 150 members and 07 BOG members also support the Organization in their respective field of expertise. DADO believes to address development issues collectively. For that purpose it has linkages with other organizations having same or similar objectives to those of DADO at local, national and international level.
Keeping in view, valuable and long-term association with communities, government departments/ local CBOs of District Dir Upper, DADO is well aware of the prevailing situation regarding health, Education and other social sector issues. DADO has also the capacity of need identification, participatory planning, implementation and monitoring of Health related activities
